Shopping, markets and fairs

Plastic-free Christmas Pop-up Shop: 23rd November – 23rd December
Traditional, seasonal fare, including freshly cut, locally grown Christmas trees, handmade hedgerow wreaths and gifts made from local materials. Many local businesses and craftspeople will have their products on display to buy too.

Faversham Antiques & Vintage Market: 1st December
Located in the Market Place and Court Street. Stalls include a wide range of vintage, collectables, antiques and bric-a-brac. Perfect for unusual Christmas presents.

Sheldon Spa’s Caudalíe Christmas Shopping Event:  2nd December 12-7pm 
A wonderful selection of facial and body products at amazing prizes.  Perfect gifts with present wrapping services on offer too. Festive canapés and fizz for everyone. Christmas Fair at the Alexander Centre by Eventissima Events: 8th December
A fabulous selection of over 50 stalls featuring artisan, craft and vintage gifts. Taking place from 9.30am until 3pm.

Faversham Christmas Markets: 8th, 15th and 22nd December
Three special Christmas markets, taking place in the heart of Faversham's charming town centre. Packed full of locally produced food, drink and gift stalls so you can get all of your Christmas shopping done in one go. There will also be live music during each market - carols, merriment & plenty to tap your toe to, whilst you stroll with a mulled wine in hand! 

Faversham Town Council’s Town Hall at 12 Market Place will also be providing activities and entertainment for the family including a town centre Christmas Challenge for prizes, Christmas disco, puppet shows and much more.

Creek Creative Christmas Emporium: 3rd – 21st December
The Cafe Gallery will be full of individually handmade items from a broad range of local artisans & makers. The Cafe will be serving a delicious menu for those who fancy a bite to eat. (The Emporium will open every day except Mondays.)

Crafts, arts, food and drink from Faversham with some Christmas magic. 

Christmas Eve Market: 24th December
For last minute food, drink, decorations and gifts, Faversham’s Christmas Eve Market could be just what you need!  8am until 1pm.

Family Fun and Christmas Activities

Brogdale Christmas Market:  1st December 10am
Local and handmade produce, kids’ crafts, festive food and drinks.  Take a ride on the magical Faversham miniature railway to Santa’s grotto to hunt for the secret elf doors to the North Pole.
Free entry to the market however there is a charge for the Miniature Railway. You can now book in advance for the train - please go to Faversham Miniature Railway Society's page for more details.

Christmas Market and Grotto at the Alexander Centre: 14th - 15th December
Take a walk through an enchanted winter woodland and visit Father Christmas. A gift (a book & chocolate figure) for each child. Festive tea-room available and a comfortable waiting room with colouring-in and Christmas children’s films.  There will also be a Christmas market full of ideas for Christmas gifts and decorations.

Rupert the Pony visits Saxon Shore at the Alexander Centre: 15th December, from 10am
Rupert The Pony loves Christmas and will be back this year to entertain visitors to Faversham Christmas Market.  Rupert loves cuddles, children and carrots, so come along, say 'hello' and take a selfie. Raising money for Faversham Christmas Lights. 

Rapunzel Pantomime at The Alexander Centre – 17th December 2pm
A traditional pantomime with live singalong music. Tickets £4.50 on the door or in advance from The Alexander Centre, 15 Preston Street.

Disney’s A Christmas Carol at the Alexander Centre – 20th December at 2pm
The bar will be open serving tea, coffee, soft drinks (or something stronger) and snacks.
Accompanying adults are welcome to relax in our bar area whilst the children watch the film in the adjoining hall. Tickets available at the door or in advance from The Alexander Centre.

Meet the Owls at Brogdale – 27th 28th and 29th December
Need to entertain the family when the fun of Christmas is over?  This fantastical evening could be just the answer.  Meet the owls when they’re at the most active and watch them swoop and fly around the Brogdale Barn.

Evenings Out

Christmas Lights Switch On: 23rd November, 5pm
Lights switch-on by Father Christmas and friends in the Market Place, followed by an evening of live music, delicious and warming food and drink. 

Michael Buble Tribute Night, Alexander Centre: 2nd December, 7pm

Christmas Glitter Ball, Assembly Rooms: 6th December, 7pm

Groove Zoo at the Old Brewery Store: 6th December, 6pm
Come and get in the groove with Groove Zoo function band. Tickets £10.00 available from www.theoldbrewerystore.co.uk. Over 18 years only. Please note this is a standing event with minimal seating available.

Yuletide Jazz at the Alexander Centre: 6th December, 8pm

Faversham Mission Brass Band Carols on the Market Place: 21st December 7pm
A very popular, yearly tradition in Faversham.  This is when Christmas really begins.  Happy Christmas everybody!  Traditional carol singing hosted by Churches Together in Faversham. Free entry.
